Hi, I’m Willa—steward of Moon Rock Flowers.
As an evolving passion project, I grow thousands of flowering plants—from springtime bulbs like daffodils and tulips, to seed-started annuals like zinnias and cosmos, to medicinal herbs like sage and calendula.
As part of The Strange Foundation, Moon Rock Flowers is a regenerative, 100% organic series of DIY mountainside gardens cultivated on what used to be a riverbed. We compost and use no-till practices to enrich our rocky soil, with volunteer help from residents and community members. (Want to come help out and learn from the gardens? Mostly, I am a scrappy, one-woman operation, and flowers are not my full-time job—meaning I’m not a full-service florist. But if you’d love some extra color at your wedding, special event, or just on your dining table, I’d love to make you something beautiful!

In my arrangements, I mix seasonal blooms alongside foraged stems from the wild mountainside we call home. In every bouquet, I try to create a vibrating array of colors, shapes, and textures that lets the unique personalities of the flowers shine through.
